You’re A Sell-out! Igala Vanguard Accuses Kogi Gov’s CoS, Edward Onoja

Igala vanguard, a cultural group, has taken a swipe on the reaction of Kogi Governor’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Edward onoja ‎to a correspondence addressed to the revered paramount ruler of Ebira land, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, describing his reaction as a misnormer and proof of further exhibition of tendencies of betrayals and self service

The Igala vanguard made this reaction in a press release signed by the Convener of the group, Engineer Lawrence Akpa.

The group restated its commitment to advance mutual relationship between the diverse ethnic groups and the  ‎current administration on a pedestal of unity, equity and devoid of any hidden agenda. According to the cultural group, “the response of Governor Bello’s chief of staff is a continuation of their grand plans to sell out the Igala race at the altar of selfishness, self centredness and  ‎divide and rule tactics.

The group alleged that Edward Onoja does not believe in the idea of inclusiveness, stating that he lacks personal discipline and decorum.

The vanguard said a letter addressed to the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland on the shallow and narrow policies of the present administration under the guise of new direction does not have direct bearing and expected response from top government official who has now transformed to the mouthpiece of our Royal father.

“We are not unaware of a group of misguided elements, counterfeits of Igala extraction in the likes of Edward Onoja who are feeding fat on the legacies of Igala race exhibiting all manners of falsehood to drive home their satanic reasons and actions.“Going back to genealogical history and records, the conducts of Kogi Governor’s Chief of Staff and his cohorts smacks of an alien who incidentally found its roots on the soil of the most vibrant race known as Igala kingdom. We challenge him to declare his origin. He is not wholly from  Igala kingdom hence his attitude.

“Ordinarily, this group would not have reacted to the response of  Edward Onoja, but it behooves on the association to caution the government on the wrong direction the so-called Igalas that surround him and his administration are leading it into.

The vanguard assured the Kogi people and government that it will continue to protect the dual interest of the state and the race to maintain equity and fair play devoid of cosmetic and inordinate ambition been displayed by some few Igala people.
